Helmet exemption

If you wish to apply for an exemption from wearing a bicycle helmet you will need to lodge a letter of application by:

• visiting Service Tasmania
• mail to the Road Safety Branch
• GPO 536 Hobart TAS 7001
• by email to info@stategrowth.tas.gov.au.

You may be contacted to with a request for additional information to support your request, such as a medical certificate.
