We are reviewing the Greater Hobart bus network
This project will deliver updated routes and timetables that:
- are reliable, easy to use, and convenient
- improve access to jobs and everyday needs like shopping and social activities
- make better use of available funding to benefit the most people.
Why are you reviewing the network?
We are responsible for network planning and contracting bus operators like Metro, Tassielink, and Kinetic, to deliver public bus services. Greater Hobart has changed since the current urban network was introduced in 2016 and will change even more over the coming years. We will use the review to plan delivery of new services announced by the government as commitments made during the 2024 election.
Will I get to provide feedback?
Yes, we know public transport is for everyone so we’ll be undertaking public consultation in 2025. The review will also be guided by customer feedback we’ve received over the past few years, public consultation, inputs from other data sources and network planning principles.
How can I learn more?
We’ll update this page as the project progresses and communicate consultation opportunities widely.
