Murchison Highway - Farm Creek Bridge barrier upgrade
We are replacing the barriers on Farm Creek Bridge to help keep road users safe.
About the project
We will be replacing the safety barriers on Farm Creek Bridge on the Murchison Highway.
The work will include:
- Removal of existing safety barriers.
- Site preparation and concrete work.
- Installation of new safety barriers on both sides of bridge.
Location
Farm Creek bridge is located on the Murchison Highway approximately 1 kilometre north of the junction with Pieman Road.

Timing
Works is expected to be completed by 3 July 2024, weather permitting.
During construction, works will be carried out between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. There will be a reduced speed limit and delays of about eight minutes for road users.
Automated traffic lights will be positioned at either end of the work area to guide motorists.
