Notification for public information only on Preliminary Documentation for Midland Highway Upgrade – Campbell Town North Portion B, Tasmania (EPBC 2022/09424)

The following notice is published pursuant to section 95B(4) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The Department of State Growth is seeking approval under the EPBC Act to upgrade the Midland Highway – Campbell Town North Portion B, from north of West Street, Campbell Town to Esk Main Road, Conara in Tasmania.

The proposed action was determined a ‘controlled action’ under the EPBC Act with assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions under Part 3 of the Act are sections 18 & 18A (Listed threatened species and communities), specifically Green and Gold Frog (Litoria raniformis), Matted Flax-lily (Dianella amoena) and Lowland Native Grasslands of Tasmania.

Public comments were invited on the Preliminary Documentation for a period of 15 business days from 3 February to 21 February 2025.

No public comments were received, and the Preliminary Documentation has been finalised.
