Tasman Highway North of St Helens Motorcycle Safety Improvements
We are upgrading the Tasman Highway from north of St Helens to Scottsdale, with a focus on improving safety for motorcycle riders and other road users.
In March 2024, an assessment of the Tasman Highway corridor between St Helens and Scottsdale was completed to find improvements to increase safety for motorcyclists and other road users.
A number of improvements were selected to progress, including new warning signs for motorcyclists, chevron markers, safety barriers and fencing, and underrun railing to help protect motorcyclists if they crash.
Designs for these improvements are currently being developed.
Construction is expected to start in 2025.
