About the project
Update: April 2025. We are planning to seal the deck of the bridge in early to mid 2025. We will let you know when we have confirmed the construction schedule and what the impacts to road users will be.
We have replaced the timber deck on the Tributary of Wardlaws Creek Bridge to improve safety for road users.
The bridge is located on Elephant Pass Road approximately 2.5km south of Gray, between Mount Elephant Road and Dalmayne Road.
The new deck isn't sealed yet and could be slippery when wet. The speed limit at the bridge is temporarily lowered to 40 km/hr for the safety of road users, until we come back soon to do the final seal.
After a new timber deck is laid, it is normal to leave it for about a month before the final seal. This allows the timber to settle and is the best way to ensure a long-lasting seal.
We will let the community know in advance when the sealing will take place.
