Land Stability map 2 Feb 2025

This work may require reduced speed limits and temporary lane closures to keep workers and road users safe.

Thank you for your patience as we carry out these investigations.

Projects

The six sites shown in the below map have progressed to land stability projects which we will deliver.  We will provide more information on these soon.

Land Stability multiple sites map Feb 2025

We have finished our investigations at the following sites:

  • Tasman Highway near Weldborough Pass – two sites
  • Lyell Highway, West of Derwent Bridge (Mt Arrowsmith) – two sites
  • Boyer Road, near Derbyshire Cliffs (Pulpit Rock Road)

The information we gathered will help to inform the design to improve the land stability at each site.

We are planning to start repairs at Weldborough Pass on the Tasman Highway and Boyer Road in the 2024-2025 financial year.

The repairs at the remaining sites on the Lyell Highway will be planned once the design options have been reviewed and chosen.

Funding

This project is funded by the Tasmanian Government.
