About project

We have replaced the timber fenders (also known as bumpers) under the Denison Canal Bridge, Dunalley.

We also replaced the walers, which the fenders are attached to.

Due to the durability and availability of timber we used an alternative material called FRP members (Fibre reinforced polymer) which are more durable and have a life expectancy of up to 25 years.

The Denison Canal Bridge is located on the Denison Canal in Dunalley, in Tasmania's south east.
